Art Students Visit Degree Show at MMU

22 June 2017

Art and Design students from all courses visited the Manchester Metropolitan University degree show yesterday.

By attending the Degree Show, students were able to explore the artwork and creative pieces on offer at degree level standard. Taking inspiration from others, Ashton Sixth Form College students were able to develop their own personal skills even further outside the classroom.

Students attending the Degree Show are preparing to progress on to creative career pathways and the visit to MMU allowed students to think about their time after they leave Ashton Sixth Form College. From courses in 3D Design, Fine Art, Graphic Design, Photography and Textiles, as well as Art Foundation, students were presented with the work they could go on to create as they progress on to creative degrees across the country.

MMU rank in the top 15 of universities in the UK for Art and Design based degrees, according to The Complete University Guide, and the work on display at the Degree Show was of an extremely high standard, across mediums and far-reaching themes, students and staff left incredibly inspired.
