Physics students at Ashton Sixth Form College had the chance to visit the largest physics experiment in the world - the Large Hadron Collider at CERN in Switzerland!

Students had the unique opportunity to build their own cloud chamber and observe and identify cosmic rays trails,  alpha and beta particles. 

As well as, visiting CERN, students had a fantastic time exploring Geneva and enjoying lots of Swiss chocolate!
