Lady Milena Grenfell-Baines MBE

Milena was born in Czechoslovakia in 1929 and was evacuated to Ashton under Lyne in 1939 via the ‘kindertransport’ trains organised by Sir Nicholas Winton. She is an inspirational Holocaust speaker, and we are lucky to have her come to speak to our students. She is one of the main characters in the film ‘One Life’ currently showing in cinemas across the world.

Grace Payne
Grace is currently a forensic psychologist in training at Styal Prison. Before this, she worked at New Hall Prison in west Yorkshire. Prior to her roles in the prison system, she applied her skills as a health assistant at the Priory Clinic in Cheshire. Her academic background includes a Masters in Forensic Psychology from The University of Manchester and a degree in psychology from Sheffield University. Grace attended both junior and high school in Manchester. She has a hamster called Peter.
