Performing Arts workshops

06 Nov 24

Before the half term break, our Music Performance, Music Technology and Dance students worked with Global Grooves, a professional community company based in the North West who specialise in Carnival.

The students thoroughly enjoyed the creative workshop, exploring music and movement. Freya and Emma, from Global Grooves, provided a range of creative activities to enable learners to experience the Carnival culture and original. Our students were enthusiastic to embrace this opportunity to develop a range of skills and collaborate with professional and community artists.

A1 and A2 Dance students have also enjoyed a workshop with former student, Molly France this week! Molly achieved A* in Dance at Ashton, and returned to work with our Dance students to share her experiences and talent. The students enjoyed the Vogue workshop which will help them with their studies and research for the Street Dance Unit.

Thank you to Gobal Grooves and Molly for working with our students!
