Physics students take a trip to Switzerland!

Students studying A Level Physics recently took a trip to Switzerland to visit the European Organisation for Nuclear Research - CERN.

At CERN, students and staff had a tour around the cryogenics test facility with a Physicist from the CMS detector, took part in a lab workshop to build cloud chamber and observe particle tracks, as well as having a look around the exhibitions!

Whilst in Geneva, they also explored the city's Christmas markets and the History of Science museum.

Students had a fantastic time!
