Year 1:
  • Skill Building Phase
  • Personal Architecture Project - Concept 2050:
Year 2:
  • Component 1: Personal Investigation (60% of A Level Grade)
  • Component 2: Externally Set Assignment (40% of A Level Grade

You will take part in 3D Design skills workshops looking at:

  • Architectural drawing, modelling and CAD
  • Product and Transportation design
  • Concept Art, Digital Painting and Traditional Sketching
  • Woodwork, Metalwork, Armoury and Ceramics
  • Digital sculpture, 3D Printing and Laser cutting
  • Jewellery design, Craft Arts and Sculpture
  • 3D animation through Blender, Sketchup and Photoshop

This will help you discover the type of 3D practitioner you are. You will then apply the skills you have learned in briefs using research, development of ideas and refinement to finished pieces. All work is carried out in sketchbooks, with additional sampling and making. You will cover a range of techniques including use of tools and machinery such as fully equipped design and engineering workshop, hand and industrial

machines, traditional tools, welding gear and digital fabrication technologies. More advanced techniques and skills are also taught and developed including CAD processes including Photoshop, Blender, Sketchup, Twilight, AR, VR. Lightburn, Sculptris, Zbrush and Substance painter.
