Course Description

The BTEC Music Performance course will help you to explore the Music Industry and develop your skills as a musician. You will work on developing your technical skills on your chosen instrument, as well as performance skills. This course enables you to become an extremely versatile and well-rounded musician by immersing you in the world of Performing Arts.

Alongside practical skills, you will have lessons on Music Theory and Composition, using state of the art equipment and industry specialised software. Not only this, but you will learn about all elements of the music industry and gain a deeper knowledge of roles within.

You will take part in a plethora of live performances and have the opportunity to use several performance platforms, alongside experiencing incredible workshops by industry professionals to enhance your experience and education. 

The two-year course is equivalent to one A-Level and will broaden your musical knowledge and the practical application of your performance skills across a diverse range of projects. From this course you can progress to study Music Performance and other courses at Higher Education Level or enter the world of employment. The Music Performance course provides you with a multitude of transferable skills for whatever career you choose.

Coursework and Exams
