The GCSE Science course involves 30 weeks of intense study in Biology. There are 2 written exams worth 50% each.
You can study at 2 different levels and this will be discussed with your tutor. The levels available are:
- Foundation leading to grades 1-5
- Higher leading to grades 4-9.
The modules you will complete are:
- Bioenergetics
- Organisation
- Cell Biology
- Infection and Response
- Ecology
- Inheritance, variation and evolution
Who is the course for?
This course is for anyone who needs a grade 4 or above for their chosen career e.g. teaching, midwifery, nursing or any adult who has a genuine interest in Science and wishes to obtain a qualification in Biology.
