Understanding the Teacher Assessed Grade(TAGs)/Qualification Teacher Assessed Grade (Q-TAGs)

Before summer, college sent important information to students confirming the TAG/Q-TAG process: This guide outlines the process undertaken by college, explains the "basket of evidence" and extenuating circumstances used to determine a TAG/Q-TAG.  This also includes information regarding result days and appeals. View the document at the link below.

After you receive your results

If you are dissatisfied with your results there are three options available to students:

1. A clearer understanding of why a grade was awarded.  If you would like a better understanding of why a grade was awarded, email results2021@asfc.ac.uk to request further details. Please include your full name, candidate number and subject you wish to enquire about;

2. You can enter to sit the examination(s) and receive a new result. "Re-sit" exams are available in October (GCEs) and November (GCSEs), Re-sits are explained in more detail below, including a link to the application form(s).

3. You can appeal the grade awarded. The appeals process is explained further below.

Re-sits

A level/Level 3 re-sit application form is available HERE.  Deadline date for applications 7 September 09:00

GCSE re-sit application form is available HERE.  Deadline date for applications 3 October 09:00

You can find dates of exams on the exam board websites. An exam timetable will be sent to you once entries have been made.

Appeals

Before submitting an appeal to the college, it is important you understand the appeal process.  More information on appeals can be found in the JCQ Guidance for students, parents and guardians document HERE. Pages 6-8 provide more information on the appeals process.
