We have over 20,000 printed and electronic resources covering all subject areas, access to drop-in PCs and laptops, and a range of study environments. As well as books and eBooks we have a wide range of online subscription resources to assist with your studies. Access to our collection is through Discover, our library portal, via the student VLE.
The Library (GH2.5)
This is where you can find all of our physical resources including books, journals and equipment. These items can be issued or returned at our self-service kiosk using your student ID card; you can also pay fines and renew your loans using this machine. There are several drop-in PCs and a variety of solo and group study areas. HE students can also use the classroom at the back (GH2.8) as a quiet study space; please see Library staff for access during opening hours.
Learning Commons (MB2.15)
A flexible learning space with drop-in desktop PCs and laptops, and areas for group and individual study. Charging points are available for phone/tablet/laptop use. You will also find the Higher Education Study Area (Pembroke Suite) at the back of this room.
Learning Zone (ST1.1)
This Centre has laptops and areas for group and individual study. Charging points are available for phone/tablet/laptop use. Please note that this room is unstaffed and students must swipe the door with their ID card to gain entry. We keep a record of all users and monitor the room using CCTV. Please note, during exams and holidays this Centre will be closed.
College PCs and laptops are available at each of the learning zones across college. You are welcome to bring your own devices and will be able to connect to the college network via Wi-Fi. Please note Wi-Fi is to be used for study purposes and internet access whilst using college Wi-Fi is subject to our regular firewall restriction, therefore some sites may be blocked. Charging facilities are available in all the Learning Centres for mobile devices.
The IT and Learning Resources offer colour printing, scanning and photocopying facilities. You will receive £10 of print credits each term; if you need more you can buy them from the Library or Learning Commons. More information on how to print, scan and photocopy, can be found here.
Students are able to download a free copy of Microsoft Office using their College email account, for instructions click here.
To access College files and folders from home please use the Remote Desktop service.

Password resets can also be done by Library staff in any of the Learning Centres

Some Centres will be open on selected days during half-terms and Easter holidays. These dates will be advertised below. Opening times are subject to change over the holidays due to essential maintenance, so please phone College Reception before your visit to check the room you want to use is accessible.
