College Ambasadors to visit China

26 February 2014

Kourtney will be vising Guangzhou, Nanjing, Zhengzhou, Wenzhou and Beijing in her tour, meeting students, staff and parents in schools and participating in a programme with other international students to learn about the history and culture of China.  Kourtney already speaks some Cantonese; she will now start learning some Mandarin at the College’s Chinese Club.

Kourtney says “I am really excited, I have always wanted to go to China, it will be great to meet people and make new friends”.  Jo Fletcher-Saxon, Assistant Principal and Daniel Jiang, International officer will be with Kourtney and will be delivering presentations to parents and prospective students about the UK education system and what Ashton Sixth Form and life in the region has to offer international students.  The college expects to welcome their first international students this summer.
