Ashton Sixth Form College congratulates all those graduating this year from university who attended our college to complete further education qualifications. One such student that has caught our attention is Holly Madden (seen here with two of her A Level French classmates, George Newton and Kieran Byrne). Holly has recently been celebrating her outstanding achievement having been awarded a First class degree in French from the prestigious university of St. Andrews in Scotland! Holly is now going on to start a PGCE course at the University of Manchester. Florence Hilton, the Head of Modern Foreign Lagunages at the college, is delighted for her and wishes her all the best for the future.

Another graduate that has been noted by the Art Department is Emily Gellard. She has just graduated from Blackpool University with a BA (hons) in Photography and has recently been featured and interviewed in World Explorer Magazine here is one of her photos of a polar bear on her recent Arctic Expedition. You can see more of Emily's work from the Arctic and read the World Explorer article here

Kay Yeung is another former Ashton Sixth Form student who has just graduated from Manchester University with a First Class degree in MChem Chemistry with Industrial Experience whilst achieving the top place in her year group. In addition to completing her degree, Kay has also been awarded the President's Doctoral Scholar award, entitling her to receive funding for her doctoral studies as well as attending exclusive events for the university.

Congratulations to all of our talented graduates who have achieved so much since becoming a student at Ashton Sixth Form College. We hope to keep in touch will all of you and see you again soon.
