The Theatre of Cruelty was 'a real attack on the senses'

21 January 2016

A2 Drama and Theatre Studies students put on their exam performances in December and produced a superb evening of theatre.

They performed to a packed audience who found the experience both moving and thought provoking. The students have been studying Antonin Artaud, the surrealist theatre practitioner and artist. Comments from the audience were fulsome in their praise and included:

"This piece will stick with me for a long, long time"
"Thrilling, very well acted and structured, brilliant"
"Excellent a real attack on the senses"
"Terrified, in a good way, absolutely brilliant"
"Unique and memorable"
"Very creative contemporary drama"
