Evening of Celebration 2017

21 June 2017

Higher and Adult Education students from Ashton Sixth Form College have had their hard work recognised at our Annual Evening of Celebration.

We have celebrated the success and achievements of over 400 students, some of which are graduating with Foundation degrees, BA (Hons) and PGCEs in a variety of subjects this summer along with numerous students who won subject prizes. This year has been our first cohort of primary and secondary trainee teachers and we are delighted with their achievements, some of which have now been offered teaching positions in Tameside schools.

The awards were presented at a glamorous ceremony at Dukinfield Town Hall by College Principal Anton McGrath and the Civic Mayor of Tameside Joyce Bowerman and her Consort Mr Fred Bowerman. Also in attendance was Steven Pleasant Chief Executive of Tameside Council who gave a speech, congratulating students on their success and thanking families for their support.  The evening was attended by over 200 students, along with their friends and families.
