Dance Summer School

14 August 2017

Ashton Sixth Form College's Dance Summer school 2017, again saw some incredibly gifted and talented dancers.

A range of young dance enthusiasts participated in a week of Jazz, ballet, commercial and contemporary dance classes to develop and challenge their dance skills. After completing the sessions, the students performed at the showcase in front of an audience of family and friends.

Guest teachers included former student of  A level Dance, Emma Kelly and current Ashton Sixth Form HIgher Education PGCE student Kaireen McDonald. Both Kaireen and Emma trained professionally at Creative Academy London.

The summer school allowed sutdents to immerse themselves wihtin the dance environment. Across a range of genres with other like-minded people, all participants provided excellent feedback and thoroughly enjoyed the ASFC dance summer school experience:

Emma and Kaireen have been fabulous teachers and, along with all the girls, made her feel so welcome.
