Education and Health Disney Fundraiser

16 November 2017

Education and Health students fundraise annually for a range of charities across the area. This year they are raising money for local charity Tameside Toy Appeal.

The Tameside Toy Appeal provide children in poverty with a gift over the Christmas period. The department staff and students chose this local charity as they may well help the neighbours, friends and families of both current and future students. Education and Health students complete work placements throughout their time at Ashton Sixth Form College, working with children and the elderly across Tameside. Fundraising for local charities allows them to give back and help those in need, locally.

Students have already begun their fundraising appeal, collecting over £1000 in sponsorship. During the college day, students have dressed as Disney "Villains and goodies" raising even more money to help those in need.

The money raised will be used to buy a range of toys that will be donated to the charity. Education and Health are welcoming any spare new toys to add to the donation.
