Lancaster University Maths Workshop

Professors from Lancaster University visited Ashton Sixth Form College's Mathematics Department to run a workshop. 

During the workshop, students were encouraged to further their skills in problem solving, communication and time management. Working in small groups allowed students to think and contribute as part of a team. 

Lancaster University is currently ranked as 11th in the UK for Mathematics subjects, according to the Complete University Guide 2018.

Bringing university professionals in to the classroom, pushes students to think about the next level of study in Mathematics, allowing them to understand the possibility of a degree or career in a Mathematical field.
