Ashton Sixth Form College ranked in the top 10 of highest achieving schools and sixth forms in Greater Manchester!

Ashton Sixth Form College has been ranked the 7th highest achieving sixth form college in the North West by The Sunday Times.

Parent Power, The Sunday Times Schools Guide 2018, identifies the highest-achieving schools and sixth form colleges in the UK, ranked by their recent examination results.

The results taken from Department for Education data, include the top students’ exam results specifically the percentage who achieved A*-B grades at A level.

The ranking sees Ashton Sixth Form College not only in the top 10 of best schools and sixth form colleges in the North West but in 52nd position in the whole country of those who made the top 500.

Anton McGrath, Principal, was delighted with the result. He said:

“The news is testament to our specialist teaching and support staff, and the tremendous achievements of our students. Their hard work and dedication has continued to make Ashton Sixth Form College an outstanding place to learn. We are thrilled to be ranked in the top 10 of highest achieving sixth forms in Greater Manchester”
