First Student Council meeting of the year

14 September 2018

For the first time this academic year, the Student Council meetings have officially begun.

The Student Council is made up of a group of students from across the college body who come together to act as 'the voice of the students.'

President of the Student Council, Mela Asmellash, began the council with a round of introductions and the meeting took off from there. Each student was able to contribute and gain a greater understanding of what is to come in the future.

Each member of the council takes on an individual role whether that be President, Teaching & Learning, Equality & Diversity, Fundraising, or Marketing, to name a few.

Throughout the year, a representative of the council will attend the weekly Senior Leadership Team meetings alongside the Principal, Deputy Principal, Assistant Prinicpals and Directors. They will have the opportunity to make real change that will benefit each and every student during their time at Ashton Sixth Form College.
