Drama visit the Lowry to see Macbeth

4 October 2018

Drama students from Ashton Sixth Form College recently visited the Lowry in Manchester to see the National Theatre's production of Macbeth.

The students are currently in their final year of their studies and preparing for some of their final pieces and performances at Ashton.

William Shakespeare's Macbeth dates back to the 17th Century, exploring the themes of power and destruction due to political ambition. The National Theatre's production of Macbeth experienced a sold out run in London earlier this year and has found home in Manchester for a short run until October 6th (theLowry.com).

Students within the Performing Arts department go on various trips throughout the academic year to further their understanding of the arts industry and improve their skills to better their own performances.
