Work experience day at PwC in Spinningfields

1 March 2019

20 students gained invaluable work experience with multinational company, PwC.

A group of Ashton Sixth Form College students were accepted on to the incredible work experience day with PwC through the college's partnership with Uptree. Uptree is a professional network for students connecting young people to businesses and companies across the country.

Students travelled to the Manchester office, based in the heart of Spinningfields, to experience a day in the life at PwC.

While at PwC, the students met a range of professionals in a networking session. They worked alongside students from across Greater Manchester to develop their understanding of business planning, expanding their skills in time management, communication and organisation. Following their work developing their own business plan, they then delivered their pitches in a Dragon's Den style format, building on their presentation skills and confidence.

PwC, also known as PricewaterhouseCoopers, provide a varying range of services to companies. They have a number of bases across the globe with firms in over 150 countries including the UK. Currently they employ over 21,000 people. (www.pwc.co.uk)
