Mock Interviews for Employablity Students

2 May 2019

Employability students took part in mock interview sessions recently. Students at Ashton identify their chosen progression opportunities and join either a university (UCAS) group or an employability tutorial group.

The Employability group are focused on gaining an apprenticeship or securing employment, following the completion of their college studies. Students spend time exploring the different ways to find apprenticeships or jobs and they also build their skills to ensure they have access to the top opportunities.

As part of the apprenticeship or employment route, students will be required to attend interviews, assessment centres or networking groups. Mock interviews, such as this, allow students to improve their skills in communication, problem solving, and responsibility. Familiarising students with the interview environment ensures they have the chance to improve and stand out to employers later on in their careers.
