KPMG visit Business

9 July 2019

Top firm KPMG visited Ashton Sixth Form College's Business students recently.

Representatives from the company spoke to the students about what it is like to work for a professional services network such as KPMG.

The company brought two current apprentices to the college to allow them to meet students who are in the same position they were just a few years ago. Nicole Searle, one of the apprentices pictured, is also an alumni of Ashton Sixth Form College. Nicole studied at Ashton from 2012-2014. She completed her studies in Chemistry, Further Maths and Law, gaining A*A*A. She then went on to join KPMG and has been there ever since.

Nicole, alongside fellow apprentice Beth, spoke about their experiences so far at KPMG. They advised the students on the application process and ways to to make their applications stand out among the crowd. The visit was also an incredible way for students to understand what is is like to work at such a large company day-to-day. It ensured students could see firsthand the opportunities available to them and how accessible experiences similar to theirs are. Seeing Nicole and Beth's personal journey allowed them to understand what is possible.
