Backstage Academy visited Music Technology and Music Production students to talk about the range of courses they offer.

Backstage Academy is a university provider located in Wakefield, West Yorkshire specialising in courses that are developed for the live events industry.

Representatives from Backstage Academy spoke to the students at Ashton Sixth Form College about the importance of gaining experience within the creative industries and their focus on providing students with industry experience from day one. Specialist universities provide students with immersive opportunities, surrounded by like-minded individuals who share similar passions, taught by staff who focus solely on their chosen profession.

The visit to the Performing Arts department allowed students to discover courses and career paths that may not have been on their radar before. They were able to directly ask questions about the degree programmes, the student experience and the application process.
