Pyjama Day for the Children's Hospital Pyjamas Charity

10 December 2020

This year, alongside Christmas Jumper Day for Save the Children, the Student Council decided to fundraise for a second charity during the festive period.

The charity they chose was the Children's Hospital Pyjamas Charity.

The Council encouraged staff and students to wear their pyjamas, make a donation or donate a pair of children's pyjamas. The generosity of Ashton's college community was shown once again through their generosity and kindness.

The Children's Hospital Pyjamas provide pyjamas for young people across the country. Working with local coordinators across Greater Manchester, the college's donations will benefit children from newborns to teenagers in the local area in hospitals, hospices and reguges.

After the donations were made, the charity said,

Wow!!! Thank you so much for your support this year Ashton Sixth Form staff, pupils and parents. We are so grateful for your generous donations. Julie and Andrea Manchester Area Coordinators
