Criminology lecture with the University of Manchester

14 October 2021

Criminology students welcomed Dr Emily Turner from the University of Manchester to the college.

Dr Turner is a Lecturer in Criminology at the university and spoke to students about university level study in Social Sciences. Students were able to gain a better understanding of the differences between their current college studies and degree-level study.

For those wanting to progress on to a career in social sciences, the talk was extremely useful in giving them a taste of university life. It also allowed them to consider a range of career opportunities that they may not have previously considered.

After exploring what studying Criminology would be like at the University of Manchester, students also took part in a mini lecture led by Dr Turner.
