Fast track to university with the Access to Higher Education Diploma in Health course.

25 November 2021

Access to Higher Education Diplomas can transform lives by enabling learners who do not have traditional qualifications to progress onto degree courses in higher education (university). Access to Higher Education Diplomas are Level 3 qualifications that are widely recognised by universities throughout the UK, and they are ideal for adults who have been out of education for a long time, for those who want a career change with no relevant qualifications, and for those who do not have a Level 3 qualification at all.

The Access to HE Diploma in Health course will provide a pathway to - nursing, adult nursing, paramedic, midwifery, physiotherapy, and any other health and/or social care and related disciplines.

There is an opportunity to study GCSEs in English, Maths, and Biology, or Functional Skills Maths and/or English at evening classes alongside the Access program.

The course is aimed at adult learners returning to study who wish to pursue a career in a health-related profession and progress to degree-level study.

The overall cost of this course is £3384. If you are age 19-23 WITHOUT a Level 3 qualification, the course will be free. If you are 24+, you can apply for an advanced learner loan, subject to availability. Student Finance England will 'write off' any outstanding Advanced Learner Loan balance you owe for an Access to HE course once you complete a Higher education course. This means you do not have to repay it.
