Education and Health students raise thousands for the Christmas Toy Appeal

15 December 2021

Education and Health students have raised over £1000 for the Action Together Tameside Christmas Toy Appeal.

Through fundraising and fancy dress days, the students have been able to gather the support of the community. The money was used to buy a range of gifts for young people across Tameside, who otherwise would not receive a gift this year.

Action Together said,

A massive thank you to the students and staff from Ashton Sixth Form College for fundraising for the appeal, raising over £1000 and then buying all of these wonderful gifts. Chris, Jon and myself collected these toys and were amazed by just how many there was. Absolutely amazing!

The toys have now been taken to local children’s centre and also to the Tameside Looked After Children team. THANK YOU!!!
