College update - 19.01.22

19 January 2022

Dear student,

As you may have heard, the guidance on the wearing of face coverings in the classroom will change on Thursday 20th January 2022. You are no longer required to wear a face covering in the classroom from this date. However, you may choose to wear a face covering in the classroom if you want to.

The rules have not changed for communal spaces and corridors. You must still wear a face covering when on corridors and in spaces such as Costa, the Food Market, the library and the IT and learning centre, unless exempt.

It is still important to follow the other COVID mitigations on-site; use hand sanitiser and wipes on entering and leaving the classroom or workstation, try to social distance where possible and do not attend college if you display any symptoms. Twice weekly testing is another way for us to help control the spread of COVID across our community; you can collect test kits from your Senior Tutor or from reception. We will continue to open windows in classrooms and other spaces to create natural ventilation so consider dressing appropriately and expect some thermal discomfort.

Plus, all 16 and 17 year old students can book an appointment for a booster jab. Please click here for further information.

Thank you for your support and patience in this matter.

Warm regards,
Anton
