Student delivers presentation on Tourettes

8 November 2022

A1 student, Fawn delivered a presentation on Tourettes recently.

Fawn has recently been diagnosed with Tourettes and is supported by our Inclusive Learning team. Since meeting Fawn prior to her enrolment, the IL team have ensured support is put in place for her.

To ensure the best support is given, the team have been working with Tourettes Action. The charity have a range of resources, including webinars allowing teachers to become familiar with how to support learners with Tourettes.

Fawn was invited to create and deliver a presentation to her teachers and senior tutors. It was then decided that her presentation should be shared with all staff at the college. The presentation surrounded raising awareness around Tourettes syndrome and how to identify and help a learner with the syndrome.

Fawn did brilliantly presenting to all staff and the Inclusive Learning are very proud of her!
