Tameside Careers and Apprenticeship Exhibition 2018

21 June 2018

Ashton Sixth Form College attended the Tameside Careers and Apprenticeship Exhibition 2018 on Thursday. They met around 1,000 pupils from local schools in the Tameside borough from years 9 and 10.

Departments from across the college attended the event, encouraging students to engage in subjects they may never have heard or thought about studying further. For year 9 students it was an ideal time to think more carefully about their options in high school. It is also a time for year 10 students to plan ahead and prepare for the next step to year 11 and beyond.

Students had the chance to speak with Biology, Business, Chemistry, Computer Science, Dance, Digital Technology and Multimedia, Drama, Early Years, Football Coaching, Health and Social Care, Law, Music, Music Technology and Production, Physics, Public Services and Sport, in addition to other exhibitors.

The event was organised by Tameside Council, and the college is proud to sponsor the event alongside Tameside College and its sixth form center, Clarendon Sixth Form. The event highlighted the extensive range of provision available to students and the exciting opportunities right here in the Tameside borough.
