Creative students take on New York City

28 February 2020

Over 30 students from the Performing Arts, Art & Design and Digital Technologies & Multimedia departments were fortunate enough to spend an incredible 5 days in the spectacular city of New York.

Students travelled over to the USA in February for a once in a life time visit. New York City is world renowned and for some, it is a trip they can only dream of. The three staff who took the students to the states commented on how all of the students had a wonderful time and that they hoped it was a trip they would remember for the rest of their lives.

In five days, the students' itinerary was packed full of exciting moments. They were able to visit some of New York's most famous and stunning sights including going to the top of the Empire State Building, visiting Grand Central Station, shopping at Macy's and Bloomingdale's, touring Radio City Music Hall and exploring the Rockefeller Plaza.

Students hopped on the subway and had an amazing time walking Brooklyn Bridge, went on the Staten Island Ferry to see the inspiring Statue of Liberty and even had time to walk around the beauty of Central Park! The 9/11 memorial and museum was a particularly poignant moment.

Times Square was a fantastic experience and students were also saw a Broadway show firsthand, the fabulous production of Mean Girls.

We would like to thank all the students for their wonderful enthusiasm, impeccable behaviour and pleasant company on the trip.
