Coronavirus response update 12th June 2020

I hope this finds you and your family safe and well.

Just a few updates today.

Today is the deadline for all Centre Assessed Grades and rank orders for A level, GCSE and EPQ qualification. I can confirm that these have been successfully submitted to the awarding bodies. All teachers have approached this task with diligence, objectivity and professionalism to ensure fair outcomes for all of our students. As a reminder, A level results day is Thursday 13th August 2020 and GCSE results day is Thursday 20th August 2020. We will be in touch soon with the plans for those days.

At the time of writing, our plans remain the same for re-opening before the summer break. The college will reopen for staff on the 22nd June and to invited students on the 24th June 2020. Our remote learning and live online lessons will be our main method of teaching and learning for the rest of this year. We will be sending out invitations to a small number of students next week to have some face to face contact before the summer.

The final day for A1 students this year will be Friday 3rd July 2020. There may be changes to the start of the new year in August as a result of the current impact of COVID-19 and social distancing rules. We will be in touch with our plans over the summer period.

That’s all for today. Enjoy your weekend.

Take care, look after yourself, your families and each other; be patient and stay positive.

Anton
