Graphic Design workshop with UCLAN

18 November 2020

Graphic Design students attended a workshop with Kevin Darton, Lecturer at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN).

Currently, guest speakers are unable to visit the college as they normally would under current government guidelines, but this has not stopped the Art department in ensuring their students gain access to unique and invaluable opportunities.

Kevin's workshop, which took place via Microsoft Teams, encouraged students to explore the world of creative advertising. He allowed students the space to think differently and approach a range of ideas from a new perspective. He helped them to work creatively and to build the confidence to develop their own ideas and to trust in their ability.

Throughout their time at Ashton, students take part in countless activities, workshops and talks with university professionals and employers, to help them gain a better understanding of the range of careers available to them in the future.
