Fashion & Textiles Student wins London Fashion Week Prize
Ashton Sixth Form College student Sarah Kilkenny scooped the prize for Best Research category at the recent Fashion Awareness Direct Junior Awards.
Sarah has been involved with the F.A.D. ‘Fashion Futures 2’ event since February 2010 when she was encouraged by her Fashion and Textiles teacher Michaela Harrison to enter the competition. Sarah received a prize and a certificate for Best Research category.
Michaela Harrison “I was amazed at the level of professionalism shown by the young participants (ages 16-19). The whole event was very professional and formed part of the London Fashion week schedule.”
